Upstate New York Roadtrip Reading List
This month my sister and I will spend a few days driving all the way across upstate New York, from Rochester, NY, to Burlington, VT. We will pass through Seneca Falls; Ithaca/The Finger Lakes; Cooperstown; and Saratoga Springs. We came up with a geographically-specific reading list, mostly centered around the fact that we will visit the Women’s Rights National Historical Park (yay! And yes, we are nerds). However, we did throw one novel in there, too, because #balance: The Monsters of Templeton by Lauren Groff (because LG is amazing, magical realism is dope, and the novel takes place at Lake Glimmerglass, where we will hang out for a bit). Let us know if you have any relevant recommendations to share!
*This is the only book on the list that I’ve actually finished reading so far, and it’s very good, but turned out to be about a final push to ratify the 19th Amendment, in Tennessee.
